Guest Room & Hallway Renovation | Palmerton, PAThis Palmerton renovation transformed an existing bedroom into a completely refreshed guest room, with the project later expanding into the upstairs hallway and stairwell.We started by removing the existing wall paneling and underlying plaster down to the framing. New drywall was installed throughout the room, along with a new drop-ceiling grid and ceiling tile system.During demolition, we uncovered an existing window opening that had previously been covered by a closet. The closet was removed, the opening was properly reframed, and a new window was installed to bring natural light back into the room. The remaining existing windows were also replaced with new units. A special thanks to Hess Windows for their help supplying and installing the new windows.To replace the lost storage, we constructed a new closet featuring built-in shelving on both sides, creating a clean and functional storage solution for the new guest room.As the project progressed, the scope expanded into the upstairs hallway and stairwell. The aging plaster was removed and replaced with new drywall, followed by fresh paint throughout the area. We also custom-built and installed a new hallway railing, adding a finished architectural detail that complements the renovated space.The completed guest room now features new wood-look plank flooring, freshly painted blue walls, new windows, a clean drop ceiling, and custom-built storage. Combined with the renovated hallway, stairwell, and custom railing, the project gave this entire section of the home a fresh, updated look while improving both functionality and comfort.Another great transformation in Palmerton, Pennsylvania.
